As an Energy Star Partner, Godsil Construction is committed to utilizing the building standards that have been established by Energy Star in the projects we undertake.
In March, 2010 at the Energy Star Conference in Atlantic City, our company received the award for building the most energy efficient home in the State of New Jersey in 2009. The (4) four-bedroom residence, located in Hillsdale, NJ, received a HERS rating index of 21 from the New Jersey Clean Energy Program. Under the HERS measurement, the lower the score the higher the efficiency, and an index of 21 is the closest to a net-zero energy score ever recorded for a building by NJ Energy Star.
The home has also received a LEED Platinum designation from the U.S. Green Building Council, with a total score of 97 points. It is the first single family suburban home to receive a LEED Platinum designation in the State of New Jersey.
